Ops Brief 059: Daily Drop - 10 June 2025 (Relaxation Cubes, Drone Wars & Newsoms Meltdown)

Buckle up. In this Daily Drop, Jared steamrolls through a Pentagon fever dream where California governors cry about sovereignty, the Air Force funds anxiety nap pods, and Russias Spiderweb drone strikes are the new nightmare fuel. Meanwhile, Trump deploys 2,000 National Guard troops to L.A., the Air Force downs another billion on wingman drones, and Space Force is somehow both broke and booming.

The DoD cant acquire software on time, the Air Force is buying nap boxes instead of fixing actual morale, and Space Force wants $4B more to figure out what they even do. If you were hoping for clarity, this aint it. But if you like chaos with a side of sarcasm and defense budget insanityyoure in the right place.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump deploys 2,000 Guard troops to L.A.Newsom loses his mind.
  • Troops sent for force protection, but told not to load their weapons. Genius.
  • National Guard troops slept on floors in SFNewsom, you good?
  • DoD's Signal messages conveniently "vanish" amid oversight.
  • Relaxation cubes for Airmen: Cost millions. Results: meh.
  • Space Force gets $4B boost, still cant figure out what Guardians do.
  • F-47 funding skyrockets while Navys FA-XX gets snubbed.
  • Russia downs Ukraine F-16s with Swedish help? Yeah.
  • Golden Dome missile defense threatened by a spectrum auction. Wut.
  • RDT&E budget logic: $1B down to $75M wait, math?

UFOs government overreach military budget NORCOM L.A. deployment Newsom Signal messages UFO gaslighting B-21 Raider Space Force Norway U.S. bomb robot warbirds Elon Musk transgender military ban drone swarms

Send us a text

In todays Daily Drop, Jareds back to walk you through a spicy buffet of government overreach, UFO shenanigans, and military budget cosplay. NORCOMs moving troops into L.A., Newsoms throwing a federal tantrum, and the Pentagon is apparently deleting Signal messages like theyre hiding UFOsbecause, spoiler alert: they kind of are.

Weve got dive-deep takes on the Air Forces nuclear glow-up, Space Forces identity crisis (again), and why the B-1B is still the king of air-dropped nope. Also, if you ever wanted to know how Norway hijacked a U.S. bomb mid-flight or why Gavin Newsom thinks he's still in charge of somethingthis ones for you.

Key Takeaways:

  • Northcoms Task Force 51 activated for L.A. deploymentbecause of course it is.
  • Governor Newsom throws a legal hissy fit over National Guard federalization.
  • The Pentagons Signal messages mysteriously vanish. IG says: Well look into it maybe.
  • DoD admits to 70 years of UFO gaslighting. Classic.
  • The B-21 Raider may need backup. The Air Force is nuclear-hungry post-New START.
  • Norway guides a U.S. bomb to target mid-flight, because NATO bros trust each other now.
  • Beale AFB trades spy planes for robot warbirds (CCAs).
  • Space Force beefs with Elon Musk because of politics, not rockets.
  • The B-1B turns 40 and still slaps. Jared gets nostalgic and misty-eyed.
  • Trans ban leads to removal of Space Force Colonel Brie Framcue Twitter warfare.
  • RAND warns: Indo-PACOM drone swarms are coming. So maybe fix that.

Ep 479: STOP asking these DUMB Air Force Special Warfare Questions!

Air Force Special Warfare PJ CCT SR special operations training mindset selection age limits lifestyle hot teammates hot Kyle blood of the covenant

Strap in, nerds it's time for another brutally honest, occasionally aggressive PSA from your favorite cynical pipehitters. Aaron, Jared, and Trent are done pretending like your DMs are cute. This episode is a tactical nuke on all the dumbass questions that keep clogging our inboxes like an MRE-induced constipation crisis.

Are you 25 and feeling too old? Shut up. Asking if you should delay shipping because your runtime is 0.3 seconds off? Delay your dreams forever, why not. Unsure whether you should be a PJ, CCT, SR, or join the FBI to fight aliens with the CIA? Were not your career counselor, Karen.

This is the one-stop, soul-crushing episode youll be angrily timestamping and rage-sharing with your overthinking wannabe operator buddies. We cover:

  • Magical age limits and why the pipeline doesnt care about your birth year
  • Why your peak interest is spelling itself out of selection
  • What training volume actually means (spoiler: youre not doing enough)
  • The truth about SpecWar lifestyle, hot teammates, and why Air Force has the hottest dudes AND best hotels

Oh, and yes we talk about Hot Kyle. Again.

Key Takeaways:

  • If youre old enough to ask if you're too old, youre old enough to shut up and ruck.
  • Passing the IFT once isnt special. Passing it exhausted, multiple times a day, is the baseline.
  • No one cares about your backstory. Pick a job. Any job. And stop writing novels in our DMs.
  • Treading water is the secret sauce. Who knew?
  • AF SpecWar = world travel, SOF missions, 5-star TDYs, and elite-level eye candy.
  • Delaying shipping until youre ready is code for Ill never go.
  • If your dream job requires a needle and you faint at the sight of blood, maybe skip PJ.
  • Blood of the Covenant > Water of the Womb. Bonus lesson on misquoted proverbs.

Pentagon fraud hypersonic missiles Qatari plane modification Space Force transgender cadets F-47 fighter QuickSink missile cancer risk among missileers NATO US military operations USAF policies

Send us a text

The Daily Drop is here and this one is overflowing with fraud, firepower, and the federal fumble reel. Jared dives into the Pentagon’s latest week of insanity: $10.8B in fraud? Check. Hypersonic missiles making a comeback? Check. A free Qatari plane that’s somehow costing $400M to modify? Check. And that’s before we even get to the Air Force’s new anti-ship missile flex, transgender cadet policy chaos, and the absurd SpaceX-White House pissing match.

Oh yeah—Space Force nostalgia? F-47 cockpit speculation? Missileer cancer rates? Welcome to another episode of “Who’s Driving This Thing?” The answer is: no one. Absolutely no one.

🔥 Key Takeaways:

  • NATO Supreme Commander: Now with five jobs, zero chill.
  • $10.8B in Pentagon fraud = “Not that much” but also a ton.
  • F-47 NGAD is the Raptor’s hot younger cousin—hopefully cheaper.
  • SOCOM still moves faster than Big Blue when it comes to acquisition.
  • Air Force’s new QuickSink missile is terrifyingly effective.
  • 40% of missileers possibly affected by cancer risk. Read that again.
  • Transgender cadets possibly banned after receiving full academy education.
  • Qatar gifted a 747… we’re spending $400M+ to fix it. What.
  • Space Force vs. Congress vs. Trump vs. Musk. Just vibes and rockets now.
  • Jared Isaacman for NASA Admin, or burn it all down.
  • The F-16 emergency wedding crashers in Alaska deserved better.

Combat Control Pararescue Special Reconnaissance Air Force Special Warfare JTAC fratricide Operation Medusa Weapon School leadership team effort training scars white carding resilience

Send us a text

Strap in, nerds. This episode is Peaches, raw and unfiltered—no Aaron, no Trent, no buffer. Just one man, one mic, and 46 minutes of Combat Controller origin story, featuring: childhood trauma via Lethal Weapon, a trifold pamphlet that somehow convinced him to join the Air Force, and a fratricide incident that definitely wasn’t in the recruiting video.

If you've ever wondered how a 5’4” kid with a soccer background, a VHS tape, and a chip on his shoulder turned into a JTAC legend, mentor, podcaster, and actual military boogeyman—this is it. Plus, why leadership isn’t sexy, why “white carding” is a war crime (almost), and why service to others is still the hardest flex.

🔥 Key Takeaways:

  • Got recruited by a trifold PJ brochure and a cargo-strapped TV.
  • Swapped to Combat Control mid-Hell Week—because the cadre gave one PowerPoint presentation.
  • Operation Medusa: got nearly lit up by an A-10 during a fratricide incident caused by a campfire.
  • Survived being blown up three times, a chute malfunction, and a helicopter crash—because why not.
  • Weapon School taught him that “white carding” is ruining our future fights.
  • The JTAC mission isn’t going away. You’re just not that important.
  • “Peaches” came from his last name, and now you’ll never forget it. Branding, baby.
  • The real flex? Service. And a flannel shirt soaked in trauma and sarcasm.
