duck hunting hunting trip adventure Ramsey Russell GetDucks dog training Azerbaijan Mexico Russia Argentina
There's nothing better than the adventure you find when you travel somewhere for a hunting trip. It's tough to explain but there's always something new and exciting, whether it's how you're hunting birds, the food, the city, the language, decoys, etc., it's just wild. Today we talk with our friend, Ramsey Russell, from GetDucks, about his dog and chasing ducks all over the world.

Here's a few highlights from the show:

Ramsey shares stories of hunting ducks over in Azerbaijan, Mexico, Russia, Argentina and all over the world.

We chat with Ramsey about his dog and how the training is coming along and how he travels with his dog.

Ramsey's philosophy is "it's always duck season... somewhere" and I think he is onto something. Get out, find some adventure and chase ducks.

Today we get to hear from our good buddy, Kevin Cheff, The Retriever Coach with his advice for building memory with younger dogs. Kevin works through the fine details of how you can get younger dogs (puppies too) to look out and develop memory on multiple marks.

Here's a few highlights from the show:

Holding younger dogs during marks and facing them in the correct direction

Each mark should be 5-6 yards at most

Get the dog to think there's always another mark out there and to be excited about it

Don't forget to use short grass, white bumpers with the sun behind you and use a long lead.

Be sure to check out Kevin's Fetch Program, which is open right now. You can find the details for this here. The enrollment closes March 12, 2025
