Rabbi Choni Friedman grew up in Kansas City and lives today in Pittsburgh where he is the Rov of Bnai Emunoh Chabad, a growing shul and community in the Greenfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Rabbi Chaim Shaul Bruk is the shliach (emissary) in Bozeman, Montana, where he has served alongside his wife Chavie for 18 years. He grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and reflects on both the joyful memories of his childhood and the challenges faced during the tense years of the early 1990s. Rabbi Bruk's life took a significant turn following a devastating infertility diagnosis in the early years of their shlichus, which profoundly influenced his perspective on life, faith, and his interactions with other chassidim.
Mayer Prager grew up in the Crown Heights neighborhood during the 1960s, a time marked by significant changes in the Jewish community. He has a unique perspective on the Lubavitch community, having experienced both its internal dynamics and the external challenges it faced. His special relationship with R' Yoel Kahan, a prominent figure in the Lubavitch community, has influenced his views on the community's direction and identity.
