Born on May 15, 1975, in Eritrea, Meb moved to the United States as a refugee and became a standout athlete at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is known for his remarkable achievements in marathon running, including being the first man in over 30 years to win the Boston Marathon after an American had not won since 1983. Meb is also a two-time Olympian, having represented the United States in the 2004 and 2012 Olympic Games. Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Meb is an inspirational speaker and author, sharing his journey and insights on perseverance and success.
