Before marriage, men pursue their future wives with great focus, persistence and tenacity. But after the wedding day and the honey moon, things can start to cool off. Not to mention a few years passing by and throwing a couple kids in the picture.

Chris Chandler joins Brett to let men know why dating your wife matters. It's drastically important to continue a pursuit of intimacy with your wife throughout your marriage.

Life can get busy with work, ministry and responsibilities. One situation that commonly happens is spouses prioritizing all of their focus on their kids that they stop focusing on each other. Sadly, this leads to many marital problems.

Parents should love their kids and give them lots of focus and attention, but spouses need to make sure to prioritize each other in the same way, with even more emphasis. If you know your kids better than your wife, that might be an issue. As men, we need to make sure our marriage stays as the primary relationship in the family.

When we run important businesses or even constantly work in ministry, we can easily find excuses for not resting as we should. But if we continue to ignore our need for a weekly rhythm of rest, it will eventually catch up to us.

God created the Sabbath with great purposes. One of those purposes being for us to find a weekly time to stop working, so we can refresh and reenergize. When we continually work non-stop, it will cause great burn-out and bring us to some dark places.

Pain Points are actually more important than the money we're making. Pain Points help reveal what's really in our hearts. They help sharpen us, and we need to learn how to have the Biblical perspective of counting them all joy.
