Podseeker's main search interface
Podseeker's search engine is designed specifically for podcast discovery and outreach. Unlike general search engines, our platform focuses on helping you find podcasts that are relevant to your niche, actively publishing, and open to guest appearances.
This guide will walk you through the various search features and filters available in Podseeker, helping you master the art of finding the perfect podcasts for your outreach campaigns.
At its core, Podseeker's search is intuitive and straightforward. Enter keywords related to your topic of interest in the search bar at the top of the page, and hit Enter or click the search icon.
The search engine will return podcasts that match your keywords, sorted by relevance. Our top picks for you takes into account the show's popularity, recency, has guests, social media followers, and more. You can search for:

After applying your search filters, Podseeker presents a comprehensive list of podcasts that match your criteria. The search results are designed to give you quick insight into whether or not a podcast is a good fit for you. Some of the key information includes:
Clicking on the podcast will take you to the podcast's page where you can learn more about the podcast and contact information.
You can add podcasts to your media lists. Your media lists are shared with your team so you can collaborate on your outreach efforts. You can also export your media lists to a CSV file and upload it to your CRM or marketing automation platform (Ex: ActiveCampaign, Hubspot, etc.)
To add a podcast to a media list, simply click the "Add to List" button on any podcasts in the search results.
You can create a personalized pitch for a podcast by clicking the "Create Pitch" button on any podcasts in the search results. The AI will analyze the podcast's content combined with your client's profile and generate a customized pitch.
When starting your search, if you're looking to find podcasts to get your client booked on, we recommend these 2 filters: Has guest and Active. You can find these filters on the top left side of the search page.
By applying these "recommended settings," you'll cut down the noise and generate a list of potential shows that are more likely to be a good fit.
For more targeted results, consider these additional filters:
By applying these filters, you'll significantly improve the quality of your search results and focus on podcasts that are most likely to be receptive to your pitches.
Podseeker's power lies in its advanced filtering capabilities. These filters help you narrow down search results to find podcasts that are not just relevant, but also a good fit for your outreach strategy.
If your initial search results have too many podcasts that are not niche enough, the Exclude Categories feature is your best friend. Here's why and how to use it:
For example, if you search for Spiritual podcasts without any filters, there will be a lot of Christianity podcasts in the results. You can exclude Christianity by using the Exclude Categories filter to narrow down your results to more relevant podcasts.
When searching for podcasts about spirituality, you'll get a lot of results that are a combination of religion and spirituality.

To exclude these religious podcasts, you can use the Exclude Categories filter to narrow down your results to more relevant podcasts. In this example, I excluded Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.

You can find the exclude categories filter on the left navigation with all the other filters. First, look for the Category/Genre filters, then click on the Exclude. The filters that you select under the Exclude will be applied to the search results.
By applying these category exclusions, you'll cut down the noise and generate a list of potential shows that are more likely to be a good fit for your specific topic focus.

Once you've filtered your search results, you can sort them using different metrics to prioritize the most relevant podcasts for your outreach strategy. The sort options are located in the top left of the search results.
You can sort your results by:
Choose the sorting method that aligns with your outreach goals. For example, if you're looking for maximum exposure, sort by audience size. If you want to ensure the podcast is actively publishing, sort by latest episode date.
Note: When you sort results (e.g., by audience size), our system applies stricter relevance filtering to ensure you see only the most relevant podcasts in your chosen category.
