Getting started

Create a client, pitch high-fit recommendations, follow up, and expand with database search.

The fastest path to a first campaign

Start with one client and 10 high-fit podcasts

Create a client profile, review the podcasts Podseeker recommends for them, and generate personalized drafts for the strongest matches. Nothing sends until you review the campaign and choose its schedule.

In a recent mature-pitch cohort, recommended podcasts booked at 6.1%, compared with 3.3% overall. This is an observed correlation, not a guarantee, but it is a useful reason to begin with fit rather than volume.

Initial setup

Complete the first four steps

The Getting Started checklist in Podseeker follows this sequence and remembers your progress as you move between pages.

  1. 1

    Set your sender name

Add the name that should appear in personalized drafts and outreach. You can update it later from your account profile.

  2. 2

    Create a client profile

Add the guest's bio, expertise, credentials, and speaking topics. Podseeker uses this context to recommend podcasts, calculate fit, and personalize each pitch.

  3. 3

    Pitch your first 10 recommendations

Open the client's recommendation workspace and review the podcast, audience, and fit details. Mark weak matches Not a fit, then choose Pitch N new podcasts. The smart action includes only recommendations that have not already been pitched for this client.

Generating these drafts does not send email.

  4. 4

    Review and schedule the campaign

Creating the drafts takes you to the campaign workspace; it does not send email. Open several drafts, confirm the proposed angles and recipients, and edit anything that does not sound right. Then connect Gmail or Outlook, select the sending mailbox, choose the daily pace, and set the start time.

Campaign emails are spaced five minutes apart rather than sent in one burst.

Advanced next step

Schedule campaign follow-ups

After the initial campaign begins sending, return to its workspace and schedule personalized follow-ups for podcasts that have not replied. Follow-ups remain in the original email thread and do not consume another pitch from your quota.

If Podseeker detects a real reply or bounce, the remaining scheduled follow-up for that conversation is automatically cancelled. You can also track opens, manage replies, and record booked or declined outcomes from the campaign workspace.

Second way to find podcasts

Build your next campaign from the database

Recommendations provide the fastest starting point. Database search gives you control when you need more opportunities, a specific niche, audience size, location, or named show.

  1. 1. Search for podcasts. Start with one of the client's strongest topics and narrow the results with the filters that matter.
  2. 2. Save strong matches to a media list. Review the shows together before committing to outreach.
  3. 3. Click Pitch this list. Podseeker creates a personalized campaign draft for every podcast in the list.
  4. 4. Review and schedule the campaign. Confirm the drafts, recipients, sending pace, and start time.

You remain in control

Nothing sends while you research or prepare

Creating clients, reviewing recommendations, searching, saving lists, choosing templates, and generating drafts do not send email. Sending begins only after you select a mailbox and confirm a send or campaign schedule.

Guidelines for stronger outreach

  • Prioritize fit over volume

A smaller set of credible matches is more useful than sending broadly to loosely related shows.

  • Review the actual show

Check recent episodes, activity, guest format, audience, contacts, and the proposed fit before pitching.

  • Review representative drafts

Confirm facts, names, links, angles, and your sender identity before scheduling a larger batch.

  • Follow up thoughtfully

Use the original thread, give the host time to respond, and stop when the conversation has reached a real outcome.
